Lucas: Spring Architect’s Tour to feature island homes, others around Beaufort County

Now that we’ve all set our clocks forward, we can finally get out and do more in the evenings, whether it’s taking in a show, going on a tour or checking out new art.

If you love architecture and great homes, you won’t want to miss the third annual “Spring Architect’s Tour” coming up Saturday.

Hosted by the Historic Beaufort Foundation, the tour is from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and will feature homes on Polawana Island, Cane Island, Distant Island and Seaside Drive on St. Helena Island.

Participants will be able to see the work of close to a dozen architects or architect firms.

Tickets are $65 and reservations are required.

The tour is self-paced and self-driven.
