Lucas: Area book signings to feature photographer, naturalist

Award-winning photographer and naturalist Eric Horan will be at two upcoming book-signing events which will also benefit a pair of organizations.

Horan, who is also a certified master naturalist based in the Lowcountry, will be on hand to sign books from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today, at Port Royal Sound Foundation’s Maritime Center, and from 3:30-5:30 pm Tuesday at Coastal Discovery Museum.

Horan will give a brief presentation and sign copies of his new book “Beholding Nature” which features more than 200 images of wildlife and nature scenes.

The event is free and will include wine and cheese and books available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to each of the organizations.

The Maritime Center is at 310 Okatie Hwy, Okatie. Coastal Discover Museum is at 70 Honey Horn Drive, Hilton Head.
