Lucas: ‘Cooks & Books’ returns to Hilton Head for 10th anniversary event

“Cooks & Books” — now in its 10th year — returns to Hilton Head at the end of this month.

Hosted by The Literacy Center, the event features more than a dozen tastings from some of the area’s top restaurants, a “People’s Choice Award” and “The Heat Is On” chef’s competition.

In addition, some 18 local and regional authors of fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, children’s literature and other genres, will be on hand to sign books during the event.

“Cooks & Books” is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 28, at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa, 1 Hotel Circle, Hilton Head.

The event works to raise money to sustain and expand literacy programs in Beaufort County.

Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the door.
