Lucas: Composer/guitarist to play Unitarian Universalist tonight
A composer, guitarist and singer-songwriter with roots in world music, folk and jazz will make a one-night appearance in the Lowcountry this weekend.
Hiroya Tsukamoto, from Kyoto, Japan, will take the stage at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Lowcountry at 7 p.m. Jan. 22.
Tsukamoto's music has been described as earthy, impressionistic and innovative.
His compositions "El Otro Lado del Mundo" and "Samba de Siempre" were nominated as finalists of the USA Songwriting Competition.
Hiroya's most recent album "Heartland" was released in 2012.

Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Lowcountry is at 110 Malphrus Road, Bluffton.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults with discounts for students and children ages 12 and younger.
