Lucas: 'Sway of the Siren' author to sign books at The Red Piano Too Art Gallery

Bluffton writer Laurie McCall will read and sign copies of her debut novel, "Sway of the Siren" from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 19, at The Red Piano Too Art Gallery, 870 Sea Island Parkway, St. Helena Island.

Newly released "Sway of the Siren" is the story of love and redemption.

McCall will be joined by Elijah Heyward Jr., author of "Stories and Poems of a Gullah Native" who will reading from his book and share stories.

Readings will begin at 2:30.

The event is free. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served, and copies of "Sway of the Siren" will be available for purchase.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Pan-African Family Empowerment and Land Preservation Network, a Beaufort charity that helps preserve Gullah-Geechee ancestral land.
