RBC Heritage

Five ‘must make’ stops during RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing

1. With just weeks to spare before the start of last year’s tournament, the new $23 million Harbour Town Clubhouse was unveiled, replacing the original one built in 1969. Take a stroll and be sure to check out the Hall of Champions, lined with tournament memorabilia and oil paintings.

2. Even if you’re not a golf fan, you probably want to get at least a peek of a few of the big-name golfers at this year’s tournament, including Jason Day, No. 1 in the world rankings. Catch a seat in the public bleachers on the 16th hole. You’ll be able to see who’s who as they make their short approach shots.

3. In need of a cocktail? In addition to eight spots along the course selling beer, wine and cocktails, the Grey Goose Lounge on The Heritage Lawn is a full-service bar in a tent. Stop by for the best bloody mary at the tournament.

4. As the sun begins to set, head over to the grass lawn behind the 18th hole. It’s a magical spot to view Calibogue Sound.

5. The island’s best party is Saturday night, weather permitting. Start out at the Heritage Lawn at 8 p.m. for live funk and soul music, then stroll down to the Harbour Town Yacht Basin, where dozens of boats will be overflowing with partiers and laughter. The fun continues at the Quarterdeck and Crazy Crab restaurants in Harbour Town.
