Annual charity polo match coming to Bluffton’s Rose Hill

The 23rd annual Polo for Charity event, organized by the Rotary Club of Okatie, is set for Oct. 23 at the Rose Hill Equestrian Center, 1 Equestrian Way, Bluffton.

Gates open at noon and the match begins at 2 p.m., according to a club news release.

The event will feature raffles, a performance by the Marine Corps Color Guard, and a silent auction offering the opportunity to bid on entertainment, vacation and dining packages. Proceeds will benefit Moss Creek Marines, Paws4Vets, and other local charities, the release said.

Match tickets are $20 each at the gate on the day of the match or $15 each if purchased in advance. Children under 12 are admitted free.

Advance tickets will be available at local BB&T Bank locations, the Bluffton Pharmacy, Markel's Card and Gift Shop, and the Engel & Volkers office on Hilton Head Island.
