Letter: It’s not ‘noise’ when it’s the sound of freedom
All too often, we who are part of the majority point of view say little or nothing.
Not so for the writers of the recent letter, “Marine jets important part of our world.”
My grandfather, who was 97, used to say of our dog, “He’s never in the way, they either walk around him or step over him.” Like my grandfather, I don’t hear any noise, I just hear jets flying overhead.
I believe Beaufort and the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort command need to hear from their supporters who don’t hear the “noise.”
Most of us know that when we are listening to jets streaking across the sky, we are listening to “the sound of freedom.” Please, let us not allow a minority voice to speak for us, the people of Beaufort. Oorah!
