Letter: Clear-cut land bad sign for Beaufort

Are we going to let Beaufort become one big parking lot?

I nearly threw up when I saw the huge swath of denuded land called Oyster Bluff on Sams Point Road.

By contrast, the man who designed the golf course at Sky Valley, Ga., wanted it to look like a bulldozer had never been there. He even left a chimney in the middle of the third fairway.

Keeping natural settings are what we need to aim for. It can be done and we need to insist on it.
