Fallen trees, powerlines close SC 170 at US 17

A check with the S.C. Department of Transportation hotline confirms SC 170 was closed earlier today near its merge with US 17 after reports of trees falling on powerlines. Westbound traffic will find the closure at Riley Road. As of 2:45 p.m., there is no estimate on how long the section will be closed.
