Is Goodwill giving away vouchers to people affected by the storm?

Palmetto Goodwill will be providing vouchers for $35 that can be used to purchase clothing and shoes at local Goodwill locations.

The Goodwill on Hilton Head Island is closed. But the locations at 509 Island West Park in Bluffton and at 137 Parris Island Gateway in Beaufort are open and fully operational, according to Palmetto Goodwill spokeswoman Kaley Briesmaster on Tuesday.

Vouchers can be redeemed at any Palmetto Goodwill retail store location.

To begin the process to obtain a voucher, please call the Red Cross at (800) 768-8048.

For those looking to help their neighbors, Palmetto Goodwill is accepting disaster donations of clothing, furniture and other household goods at all local Goodwill stores. Donations will help hurricane survivors replace the contents of their homes and help them get their lives back on track.
