When will Beaufort County employees return to work?

Unclear.

According to the Beaufort County website, county offices will remain closed at least through Tuesday.

County employees who are not a part of disaster recovery are instructed to continue monitoring the county’s website, email and other information channels for updates.

Deputy County Administrator Josh Gruber said Monday afternoon that the decision had been made to close county offices Monday and Tuesday because officials are trying to see what facilities are up and running.

Gruber said county officials had not determined if offices will remain closed on Wednesday.
