People with certain re-entry passes allowed to return to Beaufort County now.

Those who have been issued primary, secondary or security re-entry passes can enter now, according to the Beaufort County Emergency Management Division hotline.

The passes are only designated for one person and can’t be used by multiple people.

Downed trees and power lines, standing water and sinkholes are all among the issues keeping the county from being reopened.

More than 92,000 people in Beaufort County are without power, traffic lights are out and there is no functioning hospital, county emergency officials noted.
