Will they be evacuating the inmates in Beaufort County Detention Center?

No.

There are no plans to relocate inmates at the Beaufort County Detention Center at this time, according to Phil Foot, assistant county administrator for public safety.

If inmates have to be moved, though, this will happen before the storm hits.

“There’s no possible way to move them during the storm,” Foot said.
