Talmadge Bridge closing at noon Friday
The Talmadge Bridge to Savannah will be closed by noon today in preparation for Hurricane Matthew, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced Friday morning.
The bridge will be closed until further notice.
Elsewhere in the Savannah area, the Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick and Glynn counties will close at 10 a.m, Georgia DOT report. The department said the bridges were being closed for the safety of the public.
