Gov. Nikki Haley: Keep Gitmo detainees out of South Carolina

Two months after President Barack Obama released his plan to close the Guantanamo Bay facility and transfer up to 60 detainees elsewhere, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley testified on Capitol Hill. “You could pay the state of South Carolina to host these terrorists, and we wouldn’t take them. For any amount of money,” Haley told the House Homeland Security subcommittee. The Pentagon scouted Charleston as possible site to transfer Guantanamo detainees.
