Port Royal mayor, councilmembers up for election

Port Royal Mayor Sam Murray and councilmembers Tom Klein and Joe Lee will be up for election on Nov. 3.

Interested candidates must file and pay a filing fee of $150 for mayor or $100 for council member no later than noon Sept. 4 at Town Hall, 700 Paris Ave.

Klein after running unopposed in 2011. Joe Lee was elected in a special election in April 2006.

Murray has been mayor since 1999.
