SUNDAY
Handel's Messiah is coming to St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton. Conducted by director of music Tom Tiehel, the church selected the classic Christmas portion for its holiday show this year.
The choir will be accompanied by professional musicians and professional soloists from throughout the area.
The concert is at 3 p.m. at 333 Fording Island Road in Okatie. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the parish office.

WHY I CONNECT
Alison Davidow, volunteer chair of the Outreach Committee at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Port Royal.
'"I volunteer because Christ calls us to respond to human need, and human need is beyond the walls of church buildings. It's out where people live. That's where, as a volunteer, I want to be."
Be active
Take a walk around the one-mile trail at Honey Horn Plantation and get a look at the Public Art Exhibition on Hilton Head works of art.
The biennial exhibition closes on Dec. 31, so there's still time to admire Pennsylvania-based artist Tom Holmes' "Setting Sun" sculpture, winner of this year's exhibition. (The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry's Public Art Fund will buy Holmes' piece for $30,000.)
Free and open to all, the exhibition is at Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn, 70 Honey Horn Dr.
