Bluffton car burglary suspect accused of taking phones, gun, ammo
A Bluffton man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a car burglary in which a gun, ammunition, a wallet and cellphones were stolen from a vehicle parked at the M.C. Riley Sports Complex on Goethe Road.
Antonio Frazier, 27, allegedly took the items around 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Bluffton Police Department news release.
Frazier faces charges of breaking and entering into an automobile, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and assault and battery in the third degree, according to the Beaufort County Dentention Center website. Frazier is being held at the center with bail set at $17,805.
A witness identified Frazier, and when police arrived at his home, he gave them permission to search his vehicle, the release said. The stolen wallet was found, in addition to a scale commonly used to weigh drugs, the release said. The gun and ammunition were found later at a nearby gas station, the release said.
