Author Tom Spence to hold book-signing at McIntosh Book Shoppe

Tom Spence, author of “Acceptance of Authority,” his latest release, will hold a book-signing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 8 at McIntosh Book Shoppe 917 Bay Street in Beaufort, South Carolina 29902.

Spence is a retired Marine and lives in western Oklahoma. He is an ordained minister and pastor of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Burns Flat, Okla.

His other books include “Throw Away Kids” and “PoMo Poverty.”

He served in all four Marine divisions, according to a press release, including a tour training reservists. He has served in Iraq and Kuwait, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, aboard Marine bases on the east and west coasts of the United States. His final tour was as a program manager in charge of maintenance and modifications of Marine Corps ground training systems and simulators around the globe.
