Beaufort police movie club prepares for 42nd year

The Beaufort Police Department summer movie club returns June.

It is the 42nd year of the program, which is open to children ages 5 to 12. On Saturdays from June 4 through July 9, officers will meet the children at Plaza Stadium Theatre in Beaufort Plaza for a safety discussion, movie and prizes. The events run from 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Registration will be held May 23-25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Beaufort Police Department on 1901 Boundary St.
