Beaufort County to send tax bills earlier

The Beaufort County Auditor’s office is planning to send out tax bills before the end of September.

“In the past, it has been customary for the county to send out annual tax bills in late October to early November,” according to a news release from county auditor Jim Beckert.

Sending the bills earlier will “have a positive impact on the taxpayer by allowing them more time to analyze, amend and pay their tax bill prior to the January 15 deadline,” the release said.
