Beaufort County schools win communications awards

Beaufort County School District educators at three schools and in the district office have earned statewide recognition for their communications efforts.

In total, the district won 10 awards from the South Carolina chapter of the National School Public Relations Association.

Pritchardville Elementary School earned five 2016 Awards of Excellence for the “Turtle Talk” staff newsletter, “Sea Turtle News,” “Pritchardville Brochure,” “Pritchardville Website” and “ESOL Parents’ Night PowerPoint.”

Hilton Head Island High School earned four awards for the “From the Hawk’s Nest” newsletter, “Island Connections: Business, Community, Education,” print advertisements, and “Save a Seahawk and Adopt a Hoodie.”

Red Cedar Elementary won one award for the “Agenda for Students” handbook and calendar and the district office won one award for its “Blue and Gold Graduation 2015” photography.
