The president of the Greater Republican Club called on Beaufort County School Superintendent Jeff Moss to resign today.

In an emailed statement, club president Joseph Iaco said:

"Today, there were more allegations revealed in the Island Packet that Dr. Jeffrey Moss employed his wife as a contractor for 5 months earlier this year. There seems to be a clear pattern of poor judgment when it comes to nepotism. Therefore, it is time for Dr. Moss to resign. We are all involved in public office, to one degree or another, and if we remain silent on this issue, then we become part of the problem. Therefore, I am asking you to sign and share the petition below that calls for Dr. Moss to resign."

The statement included a link to the newspaper's stories.

The petition can be found by clicking or tapping here.
