5 finalists for Beaufort County School District Teacher of the Year announced

The finalists are, from left: Kathleen Sanz of Bluffton Middle School, Michelle Hartman of Hilton Head Island High School, Nancy Altman of Mossy Oaks Elementary School, Aracely Johnson of Beaufort Elementary School and Brad Smith, of Beaufort High School. The Teacher of the Year will be named at a later date. The first day of school is Aug. 17.
