C.J. Cummings is at it again.

The 14-year-old weightlifting phenom from Beaufort won gold medals for the snatch, clean and jerk and total lifts in his 69 kg weight class on Friday night at the USA Weightlifting Junior National Championships in Oklahoma City.

In the process, Cummings set the Youth American records for his clean and jerk (156 kg) and total (271 kg), according to coach Ray Jones.

Cummings is the top-ranked American in his class and is a lock to be on the American team that travels to Peru in April to compete in the Youth World Championships.

C.J.’s older brother, Omar Cummings, is competing Saturday in Oklahoma City and needs a good showing to make the 12-man team. He lifts at 4 p.m. EST.

The final Team USA Youth World Championships roster will be announced late Sunday.
