TripAdvisor named Hilton Head Island a top 10 U.S. island

Hilton Head Island has been named one of TripAdvisor’s top 10 islands in the United States.

TripAdvisor released its 2016 Travelers’ Choice Islands awards this week, and ranked Hilton Head Island number 6 on the list.

The list was compiled by using TripAdvisor’s reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions, along with traveler interest for each island.

TripAdvisor calls Hilton Head Island “a golfer's paradise” and is” heaven for any type of sports enthusiast.”

TripAdvisor lists 275 things to do on the island, ranking Hilton Head Island Bike Trails, Coligny Beach, boat tours, Sea Pines Forest Preserve and the Coastal Discovery Museum in top 5, ranked by users.
