Fifth annual ‘Prom Boutique’ to help girls with prom dresses
The Junior Service League of Beaufort will hold its fifth annual “Prom Boutique” from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, at the Beaufort-Jasper Academy for Career Excellence, 80 Lowcountry Drive, Ridgeland.
The event provides girls with new or gently-used formal dresses, accessories and jewelry at no cost, according to a news release.
League members also serve as personal stylists for the girls and help with dress selection.
Those who pre-register for the event are treated to a red-carpet experience and VIP hour from 11 a.m. to noon. In addition, VIP attendees receive first pick of dresses and accessories and additional attention from league stylists.
The event is open to Beaufort and Jasper county students. To participate, students must show their student ID or have a letter on school letterhead from their guidance counselor, teacher or school administrator.
All girls who attend the event are welcome to bring family members or friends to help them with their selections.
VIP applications are available through school guidance counselors and at www.jslbeaufort.com.
