Plans for Bluffton Bojangles delayed

"Bo time" in Bluffton is on hold.

Construction has been delayed for the Bojangles planned for 8230 Pinellas Drive, east of Buckwalter Parkway. The project was initially expected to be completed by October.

The applicant -- J.K. Jay of Jay Foods Corporation, a franchisee of Bojangles -- requested approval of a final development plan at a town Development Review Committee meeting on Tuesday. The committee deemed problems such as stormwater drainage, vehicular traffic safety and driveway configuration needed to be addressed before construction could begin.

Several attempts to reach Jay were unsuccessful.

The Bluffton location would be Bojangles' first in southern Beaufort County.
