After 25 years at filling station, Egg 'N' Tricities relocates in Old Town Bluffton

Eggs 'N' Tricites, a store in Old Town Bluffton that sells jewelry, handbags, ladieswear, home accents and cards, has moved to a new location, according to owner Nancy Golson. The store reopened Feb. 7 at 5 Lawton St., near The Cottage and within earshot of DuBois Park. Its former location was 71 Calhoun St., in an old filling station, where the store was housed for 25 years.

Although not as vintage as an old gas station, the store is now in a renovated house that belonged to an employee's family -- which, Golson said, made it feel like moving to a "family's house."

"Things change, but we had an opportunity here," she said. "It's really sweet that we can open the door and hear the children on the swings now."

And speaking of swings, Golson said she plans to put a swing on the front porch -- "so husbands have a place to sit while their wives shop."
