Porcella’s, a more than 6,000-foot family game room, is set to open on Hilton Head Island late December or early January, co-owner Greg Miller said Friday.
The new business will be unlike anything already on the island with 10 pool tables, air hockey, foosball, darts, shuffle board, corn-hole, virtual reality gear along with playstation and Xbox equipment.
“We are after the gaming crowd,” Miller said. “Those of us who refuse to get old and have to be competitive at everything we do.”
Porcella’s will be family orientated, Miller said. A place where adults and children can have fun.
Beer and wine will be served at the site but no liquor.
Local restaurants also are partnering with the business to deliver food, Miller said. He said those coming to game room will be able to order with Porcella’s staff and have the food in front of them before they finish the game.
Club Seats is one restaurant that has already confirmed working with the business, Miller said.
The business is located at 435 William Hilton Parkway.
There will be a $10 an hour cost for pool table used and a $5 fee to use the rest of the games for an unlimited time. Discounts will be offered for first responders, active and retired military along with seniors.
