Two more Talbots locations coming to Lowcountry

Roni Allbritton, the manager of Shelter Cove Towne Center, said Thursday morning that the women’s apparel store Talbots had recently signed a lease for the shopping center.

Tommy Saul, an agent with the developer Southeastern, said the developer would like to have the store open by the second quarter of 2017, if the review goes well.

Site plans submitted to the Town of Hilton Head Island include a 6,500-square-foot Talbots in between Jane Bistro and Belk, along with other planned tenants on the lot.

The town’s Design Review Board will review the project at its next meeting Sept. 27, according to the board’s agenda.

Talbots has a location in Beaufort on Boundary Street, along with an outlet store in Tanger 1 in Bluffton. But that’s not all — according to Tanger Outlet’s website, there’s a Talbots Woman “coming soon” to the Bluffton outlets.

I called Tanger to talk about the new opening, but the manager was not available. I’ll update you as soon as I get an expected opening date.

Talbots isn’t the only new store coming to Shelter Cove, though; Rocket Fizz has opened and there are plans for a Spartina, two additional tenants and possibly a fab’rik in the works as well.
