Mindy's Outtakes: Additional shows added to Garth Brooks' 'World Tour' stop in North Charleston
Grammy award-winning country music singer Garth Brooks will stick around for a little longer when he comes to the Charleston area next year.
In response to overwhelming ticket sales, several shows were added to his "World Tour" which also features Trisha Yearwood, according to a news release.
Shows now include 7 p.m. February 12 and Feb. 13, 10:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14.
The concerts will take place at the North Charleston Coliseum, 5001 Coliseum Drive.
The show will be Brooks' first appearance in North Charleston in 19 years.
Ticket sales broke previous records set for the area, the release stated.
In 1997, Brooks sold more than 35,000 tickets during a three-day period for a North Charleston appearance.
Brooks sold that many and more in just over an hour after news of his upcoming North Charleston performance spread.
Tickets -- on sale now -- are $64.51 plus taxes and service charges and can be purchased at 866-448-7849 or 800-745-3000 or at www.ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks.
In addition, there is an eight ticket limit per purchase.
