Beaufort Restaurant Week organizers reveal this year's restaurants, menus
This post was updated Jan. 20, 2015, to add a new addition to Restaurant Week: Johnson Creek Tavern.
The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday the restaurant offerings for Beaufort Restaurant Week. The event is Jan. 25-31 with restaurants in Beaufort, Port Royal and the Sea Islands offering special prix fixe menus at $25 per person.
The restaurants will have a fixed menu where patrons can choose from a list of appetizers, entrees and desserts and pick one of each.
The participating restaurants are (click/tap names for menus):
- Albergotti Grill
- Breakwater Restaurant & Bar
- Dockside
- Fat Patties
- Johnson Creek Tavern
- Old Bull Tavern
- Panini's on the Waterfront
- Plums
- Q on Bay
- Saltus River Grill
At first glance, there seem to be a lot of shrimp and grits to choose from. Four of the nine restaurants will have some sort of s&g combo. There will also be plenty of Southern fare. Think she-crab soup, green tomato BLTs, chicken and dumplings and banana pudding. It might not be incredibly innovative, but it is sure to taste good and be nice on your wallet.
Also noted:
- Fat Patties is offering any starter and entree from its regular menu instead of prix fixe.
- Old Bull Tavern is probably the best bang for your buck. Get four courses for $25 instead of three.
Finally, it's also Chamber Restaurant Week on Hilton Head Island and Bluffton. If you'd care to explore those options, here are the participating destinations.
