WINNERS CROWNED AFTER JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS SEASON

The Fall/Winter Season of PTI Beaufort County USTA's Junior Team Tennis wrapped up last week and the Bluffton Badkatz, coached by Robert Brown, won the 14 Under Beginner Division, while Hilton Head Beach and Tennis, coached by Eric Wammock, won the 14 and 18 Under Intermediate Division.

Intermediate Division winners will advance to a state championship in July in Florence. From there, they could move on to possible sectional and National titles.

JTT, USTA sanctioned team coed competition for ages 8 to 18, also plays a Spring/Summer season. Registration is in April with play to begin in May.

Two hundred juniors compete on teams which included Wexford, Beaufort High, Bluffton High, Spanish Wells, Rose Hill and Hilton Head Beach and Tennis.

CORBITTS SHINE FOR H2A

The Hilton Head Aquatics swim team participated in the SCAT Winter Kickoff held Jan. 14 through Jan. 19 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in Atlanta.

H2A was led by Chloe Corbitt (12-and-under) who finished first in the 200 breast, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 50 backstroke and the 100 butterfly. Noah Corbitt (14-and-under) won the 200 freestyle.
