Hilton Head’s James represents Storm at Olympic Development Program

Storm Soccer Academy’s James Brighton, of Hilton Head Island, represented the Georgia Olympic Development Program at the U.S. Youth Soccer ODP Championships last weekend in Phoenix. He was joined by ’99 Boys Black Team teammate Ethan Smith, of Evans, Ga.

The participating teams qualified by winning their respective age group at the U.S. Youth Soccer ODP Regional Championships. Players tried out for the ODP through a series of state-level trials. Those selected are exposed to some of the nation’s best coaches, trainers and facilities.

James, 15, has played at Storm Soccer Academy since its inception in 2010. He attends Heritage Academy. In addition to the trip to Phoenix, he will be traveling in April to Argentina with the Region III team.
