Mackerel in spotlight at Beaufort Sportfishing and Diving Club meeting

Spanish mackerel fishing will be the topic at next Thursday’s monthly meeting of the Beaufort Sportfishing and Diving Club, set for 7 p.m. at the Beaufort Yacht & Sailing Club on Lady’s Island.

Collins Doughtie, who writes the weekly Cast & Blast column for The Island Packet and Beaufort Gazette, will be the guest speaker, discussing locations, local tides and various equipment and baits.
