New cobia laws on agenda for Beaufort Sportfishing and Diving Club meeting

New state and federal laws for cobia fishing will be the topic at Thursday night’s monthly meeting of the Beaufort Sportfishing and Diving Club, set for 7 p.m. at the Beaufort Yacht & Sailing Club on Lady’s Island.

Capt. David Harter of the Hilton Head Sports Fishing Club will be joined by Waddell Center manager Al Stokes and local captain Jim Clark of the Stray Cat will present a program on the pending changes and how to catch and protect this species.
