Jon Morris is Monday’s featured speaker at Athletic Club of the Lowcountry
Former New England Patriots lineman and radio analyst Jon Morris is the featured speaker for Monday night’s monthly meeting of the Athletic Club of the Lowcountry, starting at 7 p.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Bluffton.
Morris played 11 seasons for the Patriots, starting in 1964 when they were still part of the old American Football League. He was named to six AFL All-Star games, along with the 1970 Pro Bowl after the merger. He eventually moved on to spend three seasons with the Detroit Lions and one with the Chicago Bears.
After his playing days, Morris spent another eight years on radio as the Patriots’ color analyst before moving to NBC telecasts. Last fall, he served as an assistant coach for the John Paul II football team.
Those wishing to attend Monday night’s meeting are asked to register with Judy Berry at 843-705-5223. There is a $5 fee for attendees who are not ACL members.
