Beaufort coach named assistant at next season’s North-South showcase

Beaufort coach Mark Clifford has been named to the South staff for next season’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl, the annual showcase matching the state’s top senior players.

Clifford will assist South coach Reggie Kennedy of Irmo for the Dec. 10 game at Myrtle Beach's Doug Shaw Stadium. They’ll be joined by Tony Felder (Manning), Marion Brow (Baptist Hill), Mike Highsmith (Barnwell) and Joe Hauff (Goose Creek).

Camden’s Jimmy Neal will coach the North squad, assisted by Greg Porter (Hillcrest), John Boggs (Pickens), Jamie Nickles (Abbeville), Eddie Whitt (Boiling Springs) and Tommy Bobo (Christ Church).
