Hilton Head Prep rolls past rival Hilton Head Christian, 45-6

Hilton Head Prep rushed for 404 yards on just 36 carries to roll past rival Hilton Head Christian Academy 45-6 on Friday night at HHCA.

The Dolphins (7-3, 4-1) are locked into a No. 2 playoff seed after Colleton Prep won the region title with a win over Thomas Heyward Academy. Prep will host a playoff game Friday at a site yet to be determined.

Gavin Hurlbut ran for two scores for the Dolphins, while Tyler Fox rushed for one score and passed for another, a 33-yard completion to Mac Orie.

E.J. Churchich rushed for a touchdown and added a 65-yard interception return in the third quarter to close out Prep's scoring.

John Burke's 25-yard pass to Joey Lankowski in the fourth quarter accounted for the Eagles' only touchdown.

The Dolphins intercepted Burke twice and limited him to just seven completions for 104 yards.

James Bartholomew led the Eagles with 46 yards rushing on 12 carries. The Dolphins outgained the Eagles 455 yards to 157.

The Eagles finished the season at 3-7.
