Hilton Head Island routs Stall, still perfect at 9-0
Hilton Head Island rolled over Stall 63-12 on Friday night in Charleston to improve to 9-0 and match the second-best start in school history.
The Seahawks started 9-0 in 1988 as well. Only the 1986 team started better, at 12-0.
Hilton Head (9-0, 4-0) made quick work of the Warriors, building a 42-0 halftime lead.
Starting quarterback Aidan Hegarty completed just four passes for 63 yards and a score, while running back P.J. Franklin had 86 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Jestin Morrow had a rushing touchdown on his only carry, as well as an 85-yard kickoff return for a score. Bryce Singleton added a 63-yard punt return for a score.
Sterling White got involved too, with seven carries for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Hilton Head Island will host Hanahan (7-2, 4-0) next Friday in a winner-take-all game for the Region 8-AAA crown.
