There were no surprises in the final regular-season game of SCISAA 8-man football for John Paul II and Beaufort Academy.
The Eagles won at home over the Golden Warriors 61-0.
Senior halfback Cain Richards gained 182 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns to lead the Eagles.
Beaufort Academy (4-5, 3-4) scored on every possession of the first half, on the ground and through the air. Senior quarterback Alec Melville was a perfect 4 for 4 passing. He finished the game 5 for 5.

"I've never been more proud of a group of seniors than I was tonight," Eagles head coach Scott Richards said. "We challenged them tonight to go out and make some memories. And dang if everyone didn't. The execution was amazing. We didn't have an incomplete pass, we didn't have a fumble, we didn't have a missed block."
Among the other Eagles seniors, Mac Griffith caught a touchdown pass, had an interception and made seven extra points; Thomas Roddy had eight tackles and a touchdown run; and Michael Webb led the team with nine tackles.
John Paul II, in contrast, struggled to move the ball, gaining only 18 total yards of offense in the first half. The Golden Warriors trailed 48-0 at the break.
In a shortened second half, it was more of the same.
The Eagles again scored on every possession, while the Golden Warriors continued to stumble after losing quarterback Karl Johnson to an injury late in the first half.
John Paul II finished its first season at 1-9. Neither team will play in the postseason.
