Bluffton linebacker voted Island Packet’s high school football player of week
The votes are in, and Bluffton linebacker Malcolm Gordon wins the vote for The Island Packet’s High School Football Player of the Week.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun. Congrats to all the nominees.
Player of the Week nominees
Thaddeus Czarnecki, RB/LB, Hilton Head Island: Freshman had 12 tackles and ran for a touchdown in a win over Hampton County.
Malcolm Gordon, LB, Bluffton: Sophomore had 19 tackles, 15 solo, in a win over Lucy Beckham.
Elias Johnson, RB, Beaufort: Senior rushed 21 times for 149 yards and a TD in a win over Battery Creek.
Aedan McCarthy, QB, Bluffton: Junior was 14-of-20 passing for 150 yards, a touchdown and carried it seven times for 117 yards and two scores in a win over Lucy Beckham.
Everett Scandlen, LB, Beaufort: Junior had six tackles, two for loss, a sack and two quarterback pressures in a win over Battery Creek.
Troy Timko, RB, Hilton Head Island: Senior rushed 25 times for 169 yards, two touchdowns and caught a pass for 20 yards in a win over Hampton County.
Nych Underwood, RB, Beaufort Academy: Junior carried it 21 times for 136 yards and a TD in a loss to Dorchester Academy.
