High school football result: Beaufort Academy vs. Faith Christian

Beaufort Academy 50, Faith Christian 36: Quarterback Kevin Williams ran for 301 yards as he and backfield mate Chris Boggs combined for seven rushing touchdowns to give the Eagles their first region victory.

Williams scored four times, while Boggs added 107 yards rushing and three TDs. Edward McCormick set up one of the touchdowns with a 75-yard fumble return, coming on just his second snap of the season.

William Tumlin contributed nine tackles for the Eagles and fourth-quarter interception that gave the Eagles breathing room.

Beaufort Academy’s seven touchdowns also made a huge impact in the Eagles’ contribution to the Touchdowns for Cancer initiative, raising $3,500 for St. Jude Hospital.
