Battery Creek girls’ season ends with playoff loss to Mullins

Battery Creek couldn’t do much to slow down Mullins’ march through the Class 2-A girls playoffs, seeing its season end with a 77-47 loss on the road.

Taquasia Lampkin scored 13 points to lead the Lady Dolphins (19-10), while Brianna Tolbert and Jayden Thompson added eight points each.

Despite the lopsided score, Battery Creek kept things closer than either of Mullins’ previous playoff opponents. The Lady Aucs won their first two games by scores of 90-5 and 90-36.
