Ridgeland-Hardeeville boys end regular season ranked No. 1
The Ridgeland-Hardeeville boys basketball team finished the regular season in the top spot in the S.C. Basketball Coaches Association’s Class 2-A rankings.
The Jaguars are 19-3 through Tuesday and won their third straight Region 5-AA championship. Their top players include junior guard Trei’von Anderson (averaging 15.7 points, 4.1 assists and 2.8 steals), senior forward Trenard Ferrell (14.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.8 blocks), senior forward Gaylus Bailey (10.9 points, 6.2 rebounds) and junior guard Kamrin Waddy (9.4 points, 3.7 assists, 2.4 steals).
The Battery Creek boys are No. 6 in Class 2-A. The Dolphins are 19-6 and Region 6-AA champions.
The Ridgeland-Hardeeville girls (18-2, Region 5-AA champs) are ranked No. 3
