High School Basketball

All-state teams honor top SC boys, girls basketball players. Here’s the list.

Three of the state’s top prospects, PJ Hall, Myles Tate and Ja’Von Benson, were among the players honored Wednesday by the S.C. Basketball Coaches Association.

Hall and Tate, seniors at Dorman High and Division I signees, were named Class 5A Co-Players of the Year. Benson, a Ridge View senior and South Carolina signee, was the Class 4A Player of the Year as the SCBCA handed out its players of the year and all-state teams. It was the first player of year honors for the three players.

Keenan swept the 3A honors with Raekwon Horton named boys player of year and freshman Milaysia Fulwiley on the girls side. Horton was co-player of the year last season.

Gray Collegiate’s Latavian Lawrence was 2A Boys Player of the Year. It was the fourth straight year a Gray player won the award.
