Beaufort girls win two games at Summerville tournament
The Beaufort girls basketball team went 2-1 in Summerville’s preseason Thanksgiving tournament over the weekend.
Beaufort lost the opener to Summerville, 37-30, but defeated Battery Creek, 53-27, and Burke, 52-40. Darien Watkins and Sequoia Smalls each had 14 for Beaufort, and Layla Warren had 10 in the final game.
Beaufort hosts May River on Tuesday.
