Hilton Head Prep’s Stewart, Faulkner win top region honors

Hilton Head Prep swept the top honors for SCISA Region 4-2A.

HHP’s Haddith Stewart was named the region’s Player of the Year and Jerry Faulkner the Coach of the Year. The Dolphins won the region title and are 22-2 on the season.

The rest of the first-team selections were John Paul II’s Amere Cherry and Rashad Battiste, Hilton Head Prep’s Avern Montague and Beaufort Academy’s Dawson Coleman.

Second-team selections included Hilton Head Prep’s Tyrone Calloway, Hilton Head Christian’s Floyd Hargrove and John Paul II’s Nyleem Wright. Honorable mention picks were Thomas Heyward’s Bruce Tillitson and Zack Black and Hilton Head Christian’s Brennan Studenc.
